| MRSEC BREW Friday, September 11, 2026 Discovery Building The MRSEC-only Breakthrough Research and Education Workshops (BREWs) are an opportunity for center members to share and discuss research breakthroughs from the past year and new ideas for future educational and outreach work. | Facilities Day Thursday, January 14, 2027 Mechanical Engineering Building A public event that features tutorials for common microscopy and microanalysis techniques available in the UW–Madison shared facilities. These tutorials and introductions are an excellent learning opportunity for everyone, from faculty and graduate students to industrial users. More info |
| MRSEC EAB Meeting Monday, March 8, 2027 Pyle Center A MRSEC-only event with the center’s External Advisory Board members to review and evaluate center research, programs, progress and plans. All MRSEC members are expected to attend. |
| AMIC Annual Meeting Tuesday, May 4, 2027 Discovery Building A public event hosted jointly by the Advanced Materials Industrial Consortium (AMIC) and the Wisconsin Semiconductor Research Center (Wisconsin CHIPS). The meeting will bring together government representatives, industrial partners, students, faculty, and staff for an in-depth exploration of next-generation microelectronics, including electromagnetic materials for data storage and wide-bandgap semiconductors.
