DC Arc Chamber for Carbon Nanotube Production

Katerina_working.JPG (18403 bytes) Our chamber is a conventional DC Arc chamber that can be used for the production of single wall (SWNT) as well as multiwall (MWNT) carbon nanotubes. It is being used primarily for MWNT. The cathode is cooled with liquid nitrogen and He gas is used for the arc. The MWNT are primarily used in scanning probe microscopy research (AFM, STM).
