  2nd Midwest Inter-MRSEC Symposium  
 

 

I am delighted to announce that the Second Annual Midwest Inter-MRSEC Symposium will be held at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin on Friday, April 30, 2004. The topic of the symposium will be "Organic Thin Films." Four MRSECs will be participating on this event (Chicago, Minnesota, Northwestern, Wisconsin.) We expect to devote 90 minutes to each MRSEC. We propose to have a faculty member out of each MRSEC present a 30 minute lecture, followed by three 15 minute presentations by students.We ask that you provide for us the names of the individuals that will be speaking, along with the tentative titles of their talks. We will also hold a poster session; all students are of course encouraged to participate and present their work at that session.

For your convenience, a block of hotel rooms has been reserved at two locations for the nights of Thursday and Friday, April 29 and 30:

Meeting start time will be 8:00 am on the College of Engineering campus. A student poster session at 4:30 pm will conclude the meeting day, followed by a group dinner hosted by the UW MRSEC at a local restaurant on Friday evening. View agenda.
