What: Every other year, the College of Engineering invites thousands of people to campus for Engineering Expo. Visitors participate in activities all over the College to learn more about the exciting things going on here. The Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) and Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center (NSEC) are again teaming up to offer 14 activities and demonstrations with the theme of "Exploring the Nanoworld." All of these activities and demonstrations need volunteers!

When: Thursday, April 19 - Saturday, April 21, 2007, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
(Volunteers are needed from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm to include set-up and take down.)

Where: Engineering Centers Building, first floor, south end (map)

How to Volunteer: The activities and demos are listed below. If you already know what you would like to volunteer to do, click here to find an available time slot and sign up. Otherwise, please browse the list below, and click on a name to go to a webpage with a short training video and other information on the activity or demo. Then click here to find an available time slot and sign up. Your email and phone number will not be public on the sign-up website.

We are asking each volunteer to lead one activity or demo for at least one two-hour shift. Those who sign up for more than one shift will receive a $5 meal card good at any Union eatery during Expo. All volunteers will also receive a t-shirt that will also serve as your Expo uniform.

As Expo draws near, please watch the training video for your demonstration or activity. You will be receiving reminder emails from the MRSEC/NSEC Expo Organizer, Ken Gentry. Please feel free to contact him with any questions before then.
